Laser Vein Therapy
Bid farewell to unsightly veins and embrace a clearer, more confident you. Our Laser Vein Therapy at Plano Plastic Spa is here to provide a non-invasive solution to reduce and eliminate veins with no downtime, all using the advanced Lumenis Splendor RX.
What is Laser Vein Therapy?
Our laser vein removal isn’t just a treatment; it’s a rejuvenation. Leveraging the state-of-the-art Lumenis Splendor X, we provide an efficient, rapid solution that addresses the root of the vein problem, making visible veins disappear like they were never there.
Using a unique blend of laser wavelengths, this treatment is suitable for various skin types, ensuring accurate and painless vein reduction.
It’s designed to address common issues like:
- Spider veins
- Varicose veins
- Facial veins
- and other vascular concerns.
How Does Laser Vein Removal Work?
The Lumenis Splendor X laser system uses dual lasers simultaneously, targeting various vein depths within the skin. The laser energy causes the blood vessel to collapse and seal shut and this stops the blood flow in the treated vein, rendering it non-functional.
Post-treatment, the sealed vein loses its source of blood and eventually breaks down. The body then naturally reabsorbs the remnants of the vein. This is similar to how the body heals a bruise; the difference here is that the process is instigated by the laser treatment.
As the treated vein is no longer functional, the body reroutes the blood flow to other, healthier veins. Over time, this naturally reduces the appearance of the treated veins on the skin’s surface.
The surrounding tissues remain unaffected during the procedure since the laser energy is specifically calibrated to target the hemoglobin in the veins. Additionally, the built-in cooling system of devices like the Lumenis Splendor X ensures the skin is protected from potential burns or overheating, making the procedure safe and with minimal discomfort.
The Laser Vein Removal Procedure
Our laser technician will delicately maneuver the Lumenis Splendor X device over the target areas. As it emits its laser pulses, it targets the vein walls, causing them to shrink and eventually disappear. The device’s built-in cooling system ensures the surrounding skin remains protected and comfortable throughout. Most treatments take between 15-45 minutes, depending on the area’s size and the vein’s severity.
Mild redness or swelling might appear post-treatment, but these effects are short-lived. Cold compresses can alleviate any discomfort. Sun exposure should be minimized, and sunscreen applied after treatment.
